I understand that it works with Tidal played via Roon too. You just have to disable the DSP feature in Roon so that the original Tidal MQA file is fed to the Oppo 205.

Same here. I ordered another one and it arrived yesterday. I have no interest in watching Netflix or any other TV shows but we really enjoy our movie nights. The UDP-205 is an excellent player.

My sample of the UDP-205 arrived Tuesday July 3 in shipshape and Bristol fashion and was installed on July 4. It functions beautifully and is a definite upgrade from what I was using before in all respects for video. Once linked to Wi-Fi, the unit automatically performed a firmware update upon being powered up again. Impressive ... and a trick that our good friends in Binghamton should learn how to do in the digital realm. Quite the deal for the money!

As nice as the 205 is for money, it is noticeably bested sonically playing music disks by my MCD550. In all fairness, the 550 is about 4x the $ and a dedicated CD/SACD player.

All in all, a very happy purchase.
