Default Thinking about an Appetite integrated amplifier....

.....to drive my Tannoy Autograph Mini.
Will be for night time listening so I don't really need much power.
I thought at it could be a nice first step in the Shindo world.
Opinions ?

Not a bad idea. I would also look into one of those modified Leben 300 integrated that Jerry did a couple of months ago. Sounded really interesting.

I would be interested in one also. Jeff Day loves Leben with his Tannoy's. But I'm sure he doesn't have a mod one.

Jerome,

I can't argue with choosing any Shindo gear, but I suspect that pairing it with the Tannoy mini would not yield delicious results. These are fantastic speakers for their size, but because of their limitation in the lower octaves I've found them to be a bit shrill with push-pull amps. When I tried them with the Montille, the system sounded a bit too lean for my taste.

I have main paired up with a Bottlehead S.E.X., and the simple single-ended 2W/ch amp makes them sound more delicious than any other combination I've used. You won't get any great volume out of it, but more than enough for night-time listening and background music.

Hello, I have the Apetite driving Guarneri Homages and if you limit yourself to Lute Solos
and Small ensembles -fine-- Orchestral Crescendos are a No No as is the 6 Ohm Impedance according to Shindo.

I'm looking to up the grunt dept--or more efficient Speskers.

Hmmm- I thought the ridiculous EU /NOS/Solder/etc regs negated Europe
sales of Shindo.
Pathetic if you ask me anyway!

Yes, true.
In Europe we have to buy them from outside.
Anyway my Shindo small project has been changed to a C48 / Manley Snappers combo.
Thanks !
