Default YG Acoustics Kipod 2 Signature

Does anybody have experience with these without the integrated subwoofer bases, just the main module with factory stands.

There is a set at my dealer for a really low price. I am wondering how they would play with a JL F112 sub

Hi Douglas,

Have you checked them out at your dealer?
I've had one of those in my system for a while, and they were brilliant, much better than I remembered them.
But you're going to need a good 250W+ to properly drive them.

Hi Asiufy... I did indeed get them. The deal was so sweet, I just had to buy them. I have not been able to listen yet as I am on vacation and only back on 2 October. I cannot wait to compare them to my Vivid K1's. Its going to be interesting. I will be using a JL F112 with the Kipod 2's. My Burmester 911 should be a good match.

I am very impressed with the service from YG Acoustics.

Dick Diamond, Director of sales and marketing has been giving me excellent advice on how to integrate my sub with the Kipod's. It’s great to get such personal attention.

Congrats on the purchase of the Kipods! I've had mine around two years, and the Carmels before them. I have the active models.

Thanks Tom_hankins. I cannot wait to listen. I return from my holiday next Friday, so next weekend I will know. I discovered that the signature version's -6db cut-off is 65hz. Its going to be interesting to try and match the F112 since I should select a crossover point of between 60 and 70hz. I also would imagine that a 12db slope on the sub would be the preferred setting since it will more closely match the Kipods natural roll-off, as it is a sealed design.
