Default Dynaudio Contour 60 Review Stereo Magazine

Just wish the reviewer mentioned a comparison between the Contour 60 and B&W 802 D3 and Dali Epicon 6.

Thanks for posting that up. A friend of mine is a Dynaudio aficionado and I sent the link to him...just to tease a bit on upgrading...

The Contour 60 is on my short list of speakers. It's also the 2nd least expensive of the list so I hope I like them!

Others on the list:

B&W 803 D3
Focal Sopra 2
Revel Performa 3 BE (Out later this year)

I got to hear a couple songs on the contour 60's and I was impressed! The store owner was also a Magico dealer so when I asked why he was being so unenthusiastic about the c60 he just went on about the new $10k Magico coming out and said he didn't want me coming back mad at him after those came out! I personally think Magico and Dynaudio appeal to two different listeners and I told him I wanted speakers that could rock to replace my Salon1's. From my brief audition I can say the c60 sounds better than my salon1's, however I never heard my S1's driven by Dan D'Agostino master gear before.

The Contour 60 is a whole lotta speaker for $10k. I love my 30s and may very well move into a pair of 60s in the coming year and move the 30s to rear duty. I’m sure the new $10k Magico is nice but I would go with the C60 personally. I’m sure the dealer margin is larger on the Magico vs the Dynaudio. That’s the real reason he is less enthusiastic!
