Graham, congrats on the Sophia 3! Looks like we have some things in common, similar taste in speakers and hobbies. I also used to fly RC heli and planes.

Hi Graham,
From the pic, seem to me - I guess - is you owned Linn speakers before becoming a Wilson convert ... correct? Cheers!

Good guess but wrong! (Except for the existing Linn Melodik subwoofer of course). Having auditioned (amongst other things) a pair of Linn Ninkas I bought Dynaudio Contour 1.8 Mk II's and a few years later auditioned Linn Klimax 320's, Klimax 350A's and Sophia 2's. I then bought the Sophia 3's. The previous main speakers were Dynaudio Focus 360's which were intended as an upgrade from the Dynaudio Contour 1.8 Mk II's which are now relegated to surround channel duties. However I found in practice that the upgrade was only to the bass and the upper / mid range was, if anything, not as pleasant to listen to as before. I found myself putting on music to listen to and then walking away to do something else instead of being drawn in to an enjoyable listening experience. The Sophia 3's have changed all that. Graham |

Kind of lonely being the only owner of Alexandria X2s on this board (according to this poll) -- its a dirty job, but somebody has to do it.

Methinks you need to post LOTS of pictures of your setup in the Wilson forum. Inquiring minds want to know!
