Last Sunday I visited the Nurburgring and had a passenger ride (ring taxi) in the 991 GT3 RS, driver had done 15000+ laps on the ring !!!

Fantastic experience, grip levels are unbelievable.

More and more I am getting the "itch" to own a GT3

Almost no one who didn't buy a 918 will get one. I have heard that there are less than 10 that will go to non 918 owners in the US. I went to several 918 functions and really didn't like the car that much. It felt like a big heavy GT car. I also thought it would get cut in half in value. Shows you what I know.

After reading this thread I stopped by my local P car dealer yesterday and told the salesman "there are 7 R's unclaimed by 918 buyers, I'll do MSRP+50k if you can find one".

::laughing, pointing, more laughing::

He then tells me "Just wait until they hit the secondary market, you'll be able to find one for 250k". Now I'm laughing at him, after I composed myself I told him I'll write him a personal check for 10k for every R he finds me for 250k.

Nice write-up about the R in Motor Trend. According to them it may not be the fastest 911 ever but it is the best 911 ever.

A Turbo S would be faster. I own a TT and an RS two very different cars.

911 R Black/Red Available - 6SpeedOnline - Porsche Forum and Luxury Car Resource

It looks like the first 918 buyer to cash in his R allocation is about to hit the market at MSRP+300k.

Only 300K over. Why would you put 500K in this car. I wouldn't want one at MSRP. I guess cause you can.
