As a spectator, yes, I get that. As a driver, well let’s just say it takes even more effort to be as efficient as one can be, to hit the apex just right, to preserve the momentum and maximize your entry and exit speeds and keep the engine on the boil. There is art to it as you only have 155-160 hp to work with. It’s a real strategy to pass someone clean when you don’t have all that torque. I also get that many won’t understand. A chess game of finesse and skill.

I’ve owned some seriously fast cars and believe me when I tell you, I derive great satisfaction out of driving a Miata. I don’t expect that the masses would agree, it’s like the saying goes, if I have the explain you won’t get it.

I hear ya' Serge but 'hitting the apex' with 155 hp requires no more efficiency than a GTLM car with 600 hp IMO, bottom line______ it's all relative to the competition around you !

Spec class is battle of the drivers since the cars are virtually the same. All other racing is battle of technology and of course recruiting talent.
