Yeah, in California he would have ended up in jail with his car impounded. The CHP would use that guy to set an example.

Over 100 mph is either a misdemeanor or a felony depending on the state. The laws vary greatly state to state. Having said that, the fastest I have ever went and probably will never exceed it in this lifetime was 172 mph on two wheels in a place far away and a time long ago

Funny that 70 was the limit, unfortunately NYC and surrounding areas will get you a ticket for just doing 70 sometimes depending on the pigs [emoji200] , as most highways are just 50 or 55.

On most freeways especially around SE Michigan you will be holding up traffic at 80mph.

Reminds me of the old joke.... Trooper: Sir, why were you speeding?
Driver: My wife left me for a trooper, I thought you were bringing her back.

We got a "winner", err, I mean, one (drunk) driver beat this guy. So on an empty
two line highway in Washington state this drunk driver was arrested for driving
192 mph (60 mph limit), almost 135 mph higher than the speed limit. He was
driving a 2008 Corvette.

Seeing that Michigan has some pretty bad roads I try to keep it under 80.
