Lew,
Great to hear from another Questar owner. I'm a relative newbie to the brand. It's been a pleasure to use; the one touch finder and barlow, the parfocal eyepieces, the big setting circles - I can find stuff faster than the people using goto scopes.

I also have an 8" SCT - a Celestron, and it is just not as usable. It takes longer to thermally settle, and I have to collimate it after I move it. It does outperform the little scope, but with a much bigger hassle factor.

Tom

I'm a televue guy. Had it for about ten years now and it's great, easy to use, easy to move and great optics. Truth be told though, a good pair of bino's will serve most folks well.

I also own a Questar. The Brandon Eyepieces are really nice.
