Suggestions for eliminating HVAC duct vibration

I used a Dynamat knockoff with great results. Btw, it also cut down on the HVAC blower induced vibrations and start/stop banging as well.

I also think that Dynamat would be well worth the try. It should reduce the resonance seeing that the duct walls are thin and should be easily tamed.

Make sure the ducts don't sweat after covering them, would hate to see a mold issue in the future.

Does the Dynamat need to have full coverage (i.e. cover every square inch of the ducts), or would running strips along one surface suffice?

It would not need full coverage. Small pieces should remove the resonance, especially if using the Dynamat Extreme.

The metal duct is a rectangle -- so, how many feet are you talking? Length of duct x 4.

The main offender is a rectangle about 15' long (where it really vibrates).
