Hello. For those of you that enjoy the crime drama shows such as The Fall (starring Gillian Anderson) and Wallander (starring Kenneth Branagh), Hulu is now streaming the entire 1st season of Cardinal which has a similar storyline. Cardinal is a 6 episode crime drama series located in Northern Ontario based on the author Giles Blunt's John Cardinal novel, Forty Words for Sorrow. The story centers around detective John Cardinal (starring Billy Campbell) and detective Lise Delorme (starring Karine Vanasse) who each have their own agendas as well as their own character flaws. The storyline follows the case of a missing person and a murder that is concluded by the end of the season. Great acting all around and you get a detailed examination of the main characters in the story. The opening tune for the series is the song Familiar by the wonderful Agnes Obel, and the series background music adds to the haunting storyline. Overall, this series is quite enjoyable and highly recommended. A 2nd and 3rd series are tentatively scheduled for the future and will be based on additional Giles Blunt's John Cardinal novels.
