Hello, everyone.
This thread is being very illustrative for my needs.
I'm between the Delta nr and the Venom nr.
My amp has a 350w power consumption and I think my power outlet should be feeded by a 10 gauge cord, the outlet feeds a Hegel DAC, the amp and a transport. Due to that setup I think the Venom nr v10 or the Delta nr are fit perfectly to that task, the only question is if the difference in money between the Delta and the venom would be a dramaticall impact in the sound.
I mean the price is twice so, it has a sound and performance two times better the Delta over the venom?
That makes me wonder... a lot.
Regards

Hi Manu,
I just posted a reply to your other post in the Shunyata forum.

The most important thing is to put as many quality power cords on your components and power distributor as possible within your budget, even if that means using a somewhat lower spec power cord for all components rather than a single, more expensive one, and then OEM generic black power cords for the other components. So, for example, for the same amount of money for powering two devices (whether it be a power conditioner or a component) I would purchase two Venom NR-V10s, rather than a single Delta NR.

And yes, you are right, a 10 gauge PC would be better for your IsoTex power distributor than a lower gauge power cable.

Here are a set of options arranged along the lines of the classic Good/Better/Best concept:

1) Good: Venom HC V2 power cords on all components and your IsoTek, except your transport. Put a Venom V14D Digital on your transport.

1) Better: Venom HC V2 to power your Isotek and Hegel, Venom NR-V10 to power your Roma, Venom V14D Digital to power your transport.

2) Best: Venom HC V2 to power your Isotek, 2 x Venom NR-V10 to power your Roma and Hegel, 1 x Venom V14D Digital to power your transport.

Per your question: Do I think the Delta NR v2 is worth twice the price of the Venom NR-V10? Yes.

But, I would still proioritize putting more of a lower-specification power cord throughout the system rather than 1 or 2 higher-spec PCs and using generic black OEM PCs on other components.

This is spot-on advice. I’d add one other thought though - you’ve indicated that your budget will allow an additional purchase in a month or two. If that’s the case, it may be worthwhile to go for Delta cables if you can replace one a month and have the patience to wait for a gradual process.

Hi, thank you for your inputs Puma and Anton.

My heart says delta now, venom soon.
One little misunderstood, I summarize the gear:
1 amp
1dac
1 transport
I do not have a power conditioner isotek, I have a power distributor, (Wireworld Matrix 2 IEC C13) with an Isotek initium power cord.
I don't have main conditioner and the main in my apartment is a little crappy, for that reason is very important to have Noise reduction if us possible in all the setup.
I've squeezing my brains and right now I have 2 options:
1-The delta nr now to my power distributor and maybe next month a v12/v10 for my amp. (If I go with this option in the meantime the isotek cord will be on the amp)
2- venom nr v10 for the power distributor, v12 on the amp.

Is a lot of pressure because my dealer (I'm in Europe) this week had to up the price in the venoms:
March 1 nr v12 399 euros, v10 450 euros.
Now is v12 499 euros and v10 599 euros.
He respect for me the initial price, and offered me a demo Delta nr at 670 euros.
The pressure is in the demo won't last forever, and the offer of respect the old price won't last much more.
In a few words I have to made my choice quickly.
I'm sick with covid and I'm having troubles to think clearly this days, it's suppose to grab new gear has to be one of the most exciting and fun things in this world, but I'm having a hard time, it's the reason I'm crying for you to help me, my friends.
Sorry because I put my heart in those words, I'm very emotional this days, probably I regret it tomorrow.
Bless you.
Yours truly :
Manuel

Which Shunyata power cord would you recommend for Keces P8 linear power supply?

https://power-holdings-inc.com/Keces...ply-p137036155

The Venom NR v10 or Venom NR v12?

Thank you
