I remember back in the 90's, Sound Advice sold the B&W line. Got to where customers would wait to buy the higher end speakers durring their annual buy one get the second for 50% off sale. Sale price included the 800 series and was not limited to just store stock inventory. I believe their profit was around 40%, which left them 15%.

If your system remained the same and you only switched the 802 Diamonds with the 800 Diamonds... would you notice a difference?

Great question, I would also love to hear a detailed description by an informed person.

I heard the big 800 (older model) a few years ago thru huge Electrcompanient amps, seriously good, but the bass was pretty dry and tight which was odd considering the dual bass drivers were of significant size. Heard this has been corrected in the latest model though.
