From the looks of it, no power base that matches the look of the DAC. Only a smaller external PS.

I also had the Reference DAC in my system for a while... I could not agree more with your findings. I experienced the exact same improvements you mention above. I would almost liken the experience to listening to reel-to-reel tapes. If the sound of their new Premier DAC can come close to the Reference, I will be the first to plunk down my hard-earned $.
