Default VPI tables

Looking for feedback from owners. Have heard the VPI many times but never owned a VPI table. Happy with VPI? Any issues? Thanks in advance.

Hi Serge...I have my VPI HR-X a little over 10 years without any issues. I am just as happy today with it as I was the 1st day I set it up.

It’s really the only piece of equipment I never think about upgrading.

Wow, 10 years! That says a lot!

I've had my VPI Prime a couple of years now and will likely upgrade to one of the Avenger models next year. Great table!

Own one, a Classic 3 for 9-10 years. Only caviat, get the 3D arm with the most current up to date tonearm wire upgrade and invest in the Soundsmith counterweight accessory, to make set-up easier

Considering the Prime Signature, I don't think I need to go any higher considering I have to rebuild my vinyl collection from scratch!

I want to hit the sweetspot... I want this to be a long term relationship, not having the itch to upgrade if I go lower but going higher is also not necessary I feel.

Does the Prime Signature have the same meaty and rich tonal signature as the older Aries series from years ago or is it a newer, more detailed and thinner sound?

Serge, I'm curious, if you got rid of your vinyl collection what possess you to start again ? I'm sitting on almost 2000 Lp's but I sure as hell wouldn't start over !

If I got rid of my vinyl by choice, I wouldn’t... That wasn’t my choice. Long story but I was really enjoying vinyl at that time and growing my collection. I do miss it.

I had VPI since 2006 starting w/ the HW19 JR upgrading to the MK 4 then selling it to get my first TNT MK 2.5 . Sold it after 1 year to get a TNT MK 6 . I thought the TNT 6 will be my destination turntable . Then in 2015 I finally added the VPI HR-X . I said to myself that these will be the last turntable purchase I’ll be making . But now Im thinking of getting a Classic 3 or 4 for my Vintage setup. For me once you go VPI its never enough to have just 1 VPI table .

I am sorry to hear that. It must be a sad story, regardless of the specifics. Album collections can be a very personal thing.
