The Nordost QRT system is quite extraordinary. Clean power is very important. Clean ground is also very important.
Since years I love Nordost cables. They suits my taste and system. I'v also used Nordost Thor since years and it has survived a lot of contenders I'v tried during the years.

Last year in Munich, I heard a test with the brand new QKORE (ground) products. This demo was extremely clear and showed with no hesitation the great effect of this products. What also was clear was how well Nordost had matches all this QRT products to the system. To really get the best out of Nordost you need the hole package.
That demo has been growing in my mind and finally I have got some products in my system to se how it works.
The Purifier QX2 and Qx4 is more advanced than my Thor but I use my Thor in this test.

QB8 and QKORE are very important parts. The earth is handled in a very clever way.

Signal ground is geting purified in QKORE and QB8 is geting distorsion it put of the system if you connect this in the right way.

Since I need a lot of ground cables and just got 3 of them right now I'm only able to use them in the preamp and to QB8 from QKORE and to QKORE from my R2R.

This set up is hard to test at home, I have to test it against my Entreq Ground units and it's difficult to switch between them. It takes a long time to connect and disconnect everything in my system.
I just have to trust my memory and my ears.

My initial testing is promising. The first impressions are like always with Nordost. The timing is great, as the airy free and clear presentation. The background is black and the scene is like live music.

I wonder what can happen if I can try the hole QRT-system???

It's always dangerous to try things you really think or know is good stuff.

When you have opened up that door...

... and you see how beautiful it is....

(Nidingen double light houses 28-05-18)

... it's hard to neglect it.

QKORE is the center of it all. Making one more ground and deal with pollutions.

I'v connected every part of my system by the book.

Some examples

Thor and QKORE are connected to QB8 and the front end are connected to QKORE. The power cord of the pre amp is connected to the Primary Earth socket in QB8.

This very clever and well engineered system deals with many aspects of the electricity in our HiFi- systems. Clean power and proper ground.
It's the best results I'v ever heard from these kind of products. I think every singel part of this system makes a synergistic potential. 1+1=4.

The sounds is like the signum of Nordost. The timing, the beat, clearness, airiness, control, pure you of listening are some of the parts that gets better in my system.
I hear my well known records with new ears. I discover more from my records recoding. Not in a speculative way, but pure joy of music.

Now I'm done with this test.
No doubt this is the best set up for clean power I'v ever heard. My former set up with Purist Audio AC Extension LE and Entreq is good to, but this QRT Nordost set up is even better.

One thing that I didn't expected was how important it was to use the pre-amp power cable in Primary Ground socket in QB8. To use it in Nordost Thor was not as good at all.

The QRT kit is at it's very best when you use every part of it connected by the book. Then it's a killer.

I just ordered every part of it.

This is how I connected it all with 9 QKORE Wires.

Thor-QB8
QKORE6-QB8
Pre-amp-QKORE6
Riaa-QKORE6
DAC-QKORE6
Drive-QKORE6
R2R-QKORE6
Power amp-QKORE6
Headphoneamp-QKORE6

The full QRT package, connected by the book you say took my system to a much higher level.

Like you, I’m a fan of Nordost and also now of Ansuz.

On testing, I make specific notes on what I hear depending on sections of the song.

Anyway, enjoy and appreciate your system!

I'v read a lot about Nordost lately. Lot's of review's and so on. The QRT Qx4 have had great review's. I use nordost Thor, but due to what I'v heard and read the Qx4 is doing even more positive things.

I bought one.

And also with some Nordost Valhalla powecords with Furutech FI-E50(R).

I could not help myself.
I came across these beauties. Once a wet dream. Now more like vintage. Still good.
I don't need them. My Gryphon is doing it all perfectly well.
But you know...

Krell FPB 350Mc. Totally renovated with new high quality capacitors, transistors and more. They need some hundred hours to break in properly but it sounds already great, not far from Gryphon. Unexpected.

The drive and dynamics are good. The resolution is far better than expected. The timbre and airiness is are well.

Good old top of the line amps are still very competetive. Not that much has happened in these products. Some times i some c[IMG][/IMG]ompanies and products I think it is going backwords.

My intention is not to get rid of Gryphon Antileon Signature. Krell is just for fun. Curiosity.

Pics of course...

With Cast connection from Krell EVO 202.
Cast is a very good connection. I don't know or heard antything that beats it actually.

The red diod indicates Cast connection.

I'v heard a lot of Krell during the years. FPB are maybe the most fun to listen to. Especially 350Mc ore 450Mc.The bigger once lack some precision and lose some musicality.

So when I saw these used pair in very goos condition I just bought them and had them renovatet. For the price for these used products it's hard to find anything that good, even after some extra money spent on renovation.

Some of the used and replaced parts.

Mmmm, old memoris.
