Found this under the tree...
It wasn't even the gift which is very nice in itself but what my wife said. "I thought you would enjoy this with your music listening sessions".
Now there is a woman that understands me.

My wife bought me a Transparent Reference Gen V balanced IC for my center channel. Called my dealer behind my back.

My wife got me the MrSpeakers Aeon Flow closed-back headphones. They sound great so far.

Got a new Bryston BIT15! Amazing build quality. This thing is a lovely beast. Really great addition, with the help of Ivan. I could immediately tell the difference in my system SQ. As I have read and been told, the noise floor lowered significantly. This was immediately noticeable. The BIT15 is an exceptional component for my system, which is relatively small and not super power hungry. Experiencing this first hand, now I know what is meant by that statement. After a couple of days, it seems to me that it helps bring out the potential in the other components. Don’t know another way to described it, but it seems to help them do what they were doing, only better. Now, if I can convince the wife, in due time, I may have to look at some matching Bryston components.
Best,
Shrinky

My wife and kids did me right this Xmas even though all the deliveries have not arrived yet. I have a new Schiit Jotunheim sitting on my night table. On Friday, the UPS (or Fedex, I forget which) guy will be dropping off a Questyle QP2R DAP. Finally, there is a Noble Kaiser Encore IEM on the way. This Xmas didn’t do much for my main system, but it took my portable listening (when everything arrives) to pretty much the pinnacle of ‘mobile music’ (the Questyle and the Noble).

I have two Bryston BIT 15s and I agree with you. Solid build and definite improvement in noise floor. Enjoy it... and look into matching gear. I’ve heard the Bryston amps and preamps at Ivan’s and they are great performers!

Al, the wife, wants to go back to Maranello for another factory tour so her Christmas present to me is a Maranello re-do and Monaco GP plus the usual underware, shirts, socks, etc.
