I have heard the PrimaIvan is cheaper yet 90% of the PrimaDonna offerings. It's that last 10% that is unmatchable.

Default MC275 club

New tubes didn’t fix the issue and this time when I turned up the volume, an electrical arc that was quite bright manifested from under the left most KT88 (not from the KT88) along with a very loud pop from the amp, not the speakers. The weird thing is that the sentry monitor didn’t kick on and the amp continued to play. Needless to say, it’s off for service.

Yeah I didn't think it would. I am not sure which models have what but there is a resistor that can also let go when a tube goes to prevent more upstream damage. That is not user serviceable either.

I am sure your amp will be good as new after service. Do you have another amp as back up in the mean time?

Unfortunately I don’t have another amp so it’s no tunes for a few weeks.

That’s true. I’ll probably just get my portable speaker out for now. At least it’s something. I also now have a brand new set of tubes ready for when it comes back.

Default Amp isolation device

Sad to hear about your amp Stahle, seems like an unusual occurrence I feel these amp are usually very sturdy.
So while we wait for Stahle’s amp to be repaired. I would like to put some isolation devices underneath my amp, and I was was wondering if you folks had any recommendations. So far I’m leaning towards Isoacoustics Bordeaux, seems like it’s going to be another expensive endeavor... also looking at improvising and experimenting with different materials as a more affordable approach. Your thoughts...
Thanks

RC.

What type of sound are you looking for? Looking for a warmer, more relaxed sound? Go with maple and brass.

Looking for tighter, deeper bass? Deeper and wider soundstage? Better transients? Go with the various metal options.

In my opinion none of them do anything for the sound but you cannot unhear that which you see.. If that doesn't make sense, I don't blame you but it took me 30 years to figure that out. It will make a difference because you will want it to make a difference and that's just as much real as anything else.
