...until the day the 'Net goes down. Unless, of course, Murphy's Law is repealed.

Won't be dead for a long time. We were told Tube amps were dead in the 70s/80s

It will be kept alive by those of us living in fringe rural areas with poor and unreliable internet service.

I made the mistake of throwing most of my DVDs thinking that with Amazon Prime and Netflix I was covered.
Well it isn't the case and I still can't find online a large part of the one I threw away. For music, I don't do streaming because of the quality, the price and lack of catalogue. I still prefer to buy CD and rip them. |

Untrue. That's like saying the CD or SACD is dead. I just finished paying probably 50 dollars (I can't remember exactly how much) for Telarc Appalachian Spring by Copeland CD 80078. Came in from Germany recently. Also picked up Telarc Great Fantasy Adventure Album CD 80342. I threw this CD away in disgust many years ago because my Genesis II's would not play T. Rex without bottoming out. It's no problem for the Thor but if your system can handle 10 Hz, you better watch out for your woofers. Most systems happily never hear the foot falls but they are death for subwoofers that make the attempt.
