Default BDP making slight pop

Does anyone else hear a slight pop of static when they change playlists and/albums on their BDP? Wondering if it's normal or if I have an issue. It's not intolerable but I'd prefer it not to do it

FYI the BDP is connected to the BDA via a Wirewolrd AES/EBU digital cable. All interconnects are XLR Wireworld with the longest run going from pre to monos at 5M. I'm using a Seagate 750GB bus powered HDD. Thanks.

Hi M

What interface are you using to control the BDP?

James

OK so am I? Maybe try one of the other interfaces like Bryston MAX or MINI and see if it still happens.

James:

Using MAX I got the same result. To be perfectly clear, it's slight; like a cartridge touching down on an older LP player. It's also not always consistent in severity. The sound varies depending on the track the BDP is playing when I either cancel the playlist or press stop.

If you don't experience the same (or this is the first you have heard of this) perhaps it is something in my system. I am not using a power conditioner(s) for my amps. My sources are running through a Hydra conditioner. Could it be power related? It is a brand new home though.

Thoughts?

PS newest update of MPad/MPod greatly improved my BDP experience

Hi

Yes I agree the new Mpod and Mpad are terrific.

It is strange. I can say it is not something I have heard before?

I have the same issue. Also using with BDA-1 .
Happens with both AES and SPDIF connections.
Not intolerable, but irritating and a little off putting nonetheless.

Same here. Mine more like a "tick" sound....maybe it's showing us that it's more vinyl like
