The REF 300 were rated by ARC at 280 watts continuous, while the REF 250 are rated at 250 watts continuous. "Maximum power" for the REF 300 was rated at 300 watts, while "power at clipping" for the REF 250 is rated at 270 watts. Power storage for the REF 300 was 448 joules versus 900 joules for the REF 250. Damping factor is about 10 for both amps.

It does not seem that the REF 250 would have problems driving any speakers that the REF 300 could drive.
