I know this was a while back.

Inquiring minds want to know what happened.

( I just ordered a Bricasti M1SE ) That’s why I’m reading all about Bricasti.

It’s a great piece. You will love it.

How do you intend to use it? DAC alone or DAC/Pre?

Best connection is via the network MDx card although that may depend upon your upfront streamer.

Smile Dac

I will use it as DAC only fed by my streamer via USB into my preamp.

I have an M3, not an M1 M3 has linear and minimum phase digital filters. I prefer minimum phase by a long shot. Not sure exactly how to describe the difference (that's why i have another full time job). I can listen at many tunes and not be bothered with the difference. But then come some tunes and it feels like highs are harsh, it's not subtle, it feels like something is wrong. Minimum phase rocks.
I just bought a brand new C2700, waiting for it. Ill spend some time comparing the M3 to the DA2, it's not the same price range at all, but i am quite curious. No one reviews the DA2 really, not coming to this with a pre-made opinion.
