Based on what my retailer told me, the difference between the Ayre integrated and the separates is almost indistinguishable.

Time will tell!

The separates were indistinguishable from AX-5 to me. I went AX-5.

Good to know. The amp should arrive next week. I’ll give it a couple hundred hours before I compare it to the E-600.

One hour logged on this new integrated. Quite nice right out of the box.

I’m going to let run for a few hundred hours before I decide if it will dethrone my Accuphase E-600.

It should be interesting.

Default AX-5 Twenty

I am still blown away by my little AX7e integrated so I cannot imagine how good the AX5 twenty must be.
I have the 7e since more than one year and use it with hard to drive speakers : the Rega RS10.
The Ayre AX7e drives them at least as good as the Rega Osiris mighty 200W amp that was made for them and that costs much more. But the Ayre has this liquid and tubey sound which is incredible. Extremely natural and super quiet with balanced inputs. Looking at the inside I just cannot figure out how they do this.
Ayre is stunning.

That's what separates the true art of high end audio from the rest. There are a handful of true artists and then there is the rest...

Thanks Will. Yes it does. Especially since the Ayre came for the party.
