I 'THINK' I have read that Mac's don't require ASIO drivers...

Got the c2600 setup So far so good. But hey its hard to compare to the c47 when I no longer have it. And only got about 30 minutes of playback!

Regarding tube warmup: Does it matter what input I use? I would like to put a CD & run some errands etc....played some vinyl but you kind of have to be right there.

I see on the top there are distintive tubes for each input so thats whey I ask.

A contentious subject :-)

My experience indicates that output stages will break in no matter which input you choose. Separate input stages will need some time (maybe a different amount of time between inputs) to break in.

hahahaha

I played mostly vinyl at first. Last night and this eve playing some High Rez from the Sony HAP. I can leave that source on longer while I do things. I'm trying to avoid just sitting on the sofa and listening knowing I need to give this BEAST some time to break in.

I've been doing the same. I've hit a few spots where one sounds better than the other, then it's the other that better....can't wait to get it all broken in!

So far, I've about 40hrs on the digital side, and 30 or so on the MC Phono. Both have been steadily improving.

My dealer just got in some Little Fwend tone arm lifters. If it fits on my Xtension 10, I'm buying one. They are really well made, and don't look like garbage. That would solve the Vinyl attention issue :-)

yes its $7K. They don't like to discount much over 15% off. I have a long relationship with my dealer. Plus I was doing a trade in on the 6 month old c47.

Hey...regarding Tube Break in. I turned off the tube lights. Thought it may stay cooler.

Is it too much to leave it on all day while i am at work? I did this on the c47/mc452. played music thru the music server. Not loud but decent.

Just don't want to damage the tubes but would like to get 8 hours in today

Thoughts?
