Default Your advice on Sunfire TS-EQS 12 Sub, Pls

I’d appreciate advice from AA members that have used or had a good test audition of properly calibrated Sunfire’s better Sub woofers.

I’ve seen that JL’s and REL, etc. are popular with many systems here, with almost no mention of Sunfire. Has Sunfire's more recent better sub’s not kept up with competition in the industry? Feel free post or send a private message.

The reason I’d like to consider them is solely based on their small total size as space is an issue. The 12” is a 13.5” cube, while the 10” is a 11.5" cube.
I’d be placing one or two into either of two 5.1 HT/ 2 Ch stereo systems. The rooms are small – 17 x 12 x8 & 17 X 10’. Hardwood on a highrise condo concrete floor. One of the systems will have three to five Sonus Faber Cremona Auditor M’s. Would plan to go with good bookshelf speakers

I am only interested in the Sunfire 12” TS EQ Solitaire 12 (TS-EQS 12). It’s specs show good connectivity and slope control, and auto room calibration. They have the same size enclosures also with a 12 or 10” passive radiator. But I want more than HT deep base and must minimize muddying lowest musical definition, so would elect to go with a single powered forward driver for the better control.

A friend of mine had a slightly older model(no room correction), it would literally dance across the floor of his listening room during heavy bass tracks.

You’re right about the wandering, Face, Thx. The dealer cautioned about that.

Has the entire brand fallen into disfavor with audiophiles? Its miniscule size was a novel engineering solution when first introduced. Have they been left in the dust?
With care, can an enthusiast still incorporate the top-end 12” with a good bookshelf system to produce good music? I wanted it to accurately augment music when req’d with controlled deep base. As far as Home Theatre goes, with the small rooms we won’t be experiencing the totally immersed movie experience. ( Been there done that, including a capable 15” servo controlled sub.)

So, If I can design something to restrain the wandering w/o vibration or resonances, is this Sunfire up to the job? Comments invited here or privately. Thx.

I have it and it does not move on carpet. At very loud volumes on hardwood floor, it moves a bit.
