I would say its a good deal. They sell for right around that. But the hard part is finding one local as I would hate to ship one.

It is local, so a plus.

So would this sub be too much for my setup? I only am running a Mac275 on a set of B&W803d's. Not sure if a 1k rms sub is too much.

Is this going in a dedicated 2 channel or a mix movie/music system?

I feel like by the time I cross the sub at a low enough point and turn the volume down on it to the point I can't localize it any more I might as well not be using one. But in movies this sub is amazing. It's the first sub I have owned that you could make it pressure your room like its in a car lol, you may be able to pull off a 2.1 but I never could.

This graph is not showing the tightens of the sub, just the max output. My understanding is to look for a Q of 0.5 or so. That should make supposedly be a really tight sounding sub

So you would suggest getting something before the sub? I couldn't find the Q or Fs on the PB13

At around a $1000 the SVS is a great sub, for retail i would probably buy 2 rythmik F15HP 15's. The only other I would suggest other than the SVS is the rythmik. I would get the single sub now and see how you like it in 2.1. In movies the SVS will be awesome
