Default Another System to Bite the Dust

Well I have lined up a Cabinet Company to come in a rework the casework for one of the HT systems in the house. This rather large custom unit (14' long and 11' high) was built in 1996 when 4:3 61" units were in style. The original owner of the house spec'd the design and when we purchased 18 months later it I just replaced the TV and some of the gear. Even that was an issue since the gear all fits into custom slots. Back came the carpenter.

Well this system hasn't been used for some time so we are going to have them convert the cabinet to something more useful. I will remove all the gear expect that which controls the whole house music system. Not sure yet what I will do with the Sumo Andromeda III power amp or Sumo pre and DAC, but the other items will probably hit GoodWill except for the Infinity Renissance 90's which I will either trade or put on A-gon.
Jim

Jim.......I see what you mean, a little long in the tooth. Tight enclosure openings around gear were the rage for awhile, but a bear when it was time to make changes, or even something as simple as a cable swap. Electronics in casework like that would be well served with rear access.
