I would be curious to hear everyone's review on these new subs for movies. In the past, B&W subs were phenomenal music subwoofers that integrated seamlessly, but for movies they never quite had the punch I was looking for.

Using an iPhone as a microphone is a really bad idea. Lifespans for subwoofers tend to be long and I wonder who will guarantee that the app is still working 10 years from now.
But hey looks sexy now and who cares what happens after the warranty have run out.

You do make a good point.

Short update. Earlier this week I've decided to cancel my dual DB3D order and decided to go for another sub only brand (REL S5/SHO's).

I am curious also.

I heard the subwoofers have been delayed to July now.

Can anyone confirm?

I know this is a B&W topic so I'll have to be careful. In the past I mostly had sub's from so called sub only brand because their sole focus is on designing subs and not just a speaker company that adds a sub to each range to offer a nice all-same-brand package. I'm not saying this is the case here but I've wanted to keep my options open when I'd decide to change speakers in the future. I know I could have used the B&W subs with other speaker brands. So my choice is not so much about the potential quality of the new DB subs but more a rational choice (at least in my view ).

Currently I have B&W 804 D3's ... hooked up to a Lyngdorf amplifier with Roomperfect dsp.

Does anyone know if you can use both sets of inputs on the DB3 at the same time? I would like to use one set with my Mcintosh C2500 preamp and another for LFE for my Marantz processor.

Thanks in advance.
