Default MQA coming to PSAudio

According to Paul's post this morning, MQA will be coming to Directstream DACS with bridgeII installed in a free update in April. It's also coming to multiple other PSAudio products, along with a (free) software upgrade to Ted Smith designed DACS.

I continue to love my DirectStream and these updates do so much to keep it from becoming an obsolete digital investment.

From what I understand, PS Audio is working on a software upgrade for their Bridge2 which will do the unfolding, same sort of thing that is an option on the Tidal desktop app. That will "unfold" the content to a maximum of 96/24.

But to my way of thinking, the real benefit of MQA is the "de-blurring" which would require changes to the internals of the DAC, which PS Audio is not willing to do.
