Default Xtz

Hi guys

Need some help making sense of the data obtained by the XTZ software/hardware that was used to analyze my listening room. Following are some pics. I guess there's a dip in the room curve somewhere around 50hz. I'm new to all this, basically shooting arrows in the dark. Did my best to gather the data as clean as possible.

Thanks in advance for all inputs

I am not a acoustician but have dabbled with this stuff. Speaker and Listening Position can change where the nulls occur in your room. Try moving your speakers say, 6" closer and measure again. If no change, move them 12" closer etc. you are looking for a trend of where the null starts to go away. You can also try to move your speakers to be asymmetrical with your room walls... Or keep your speakers in the same location and move your LP and measure. Trial and error!

Does XTZ provide a 'modeling' function? In REW, a similar software, you can model your room and then experiment with speaker position and listening position and see a close approximation of what the frequency response in your room will be. It saves a lot of hefting speakers etc.

romavictor, did you make any progress with this? I am a novice user of XTZ, but it has been awhile.
