The 30 yr is better, the Glenlivet Anniversary special, and if you visit the distillery a wee hike o'eer the heather will bring a nice wee curling range in view. Bee hee it, don't dream it. There'l be ticker tape parades by the score, now that curling's come to America's shore.

With the 30yr you are starting to talk real money. Only drink when someone else is buying (like a good Scot ). I'll stick to the 15yr. Surprising how many Scots I know. All from grad school (materials sci & metallurgy - guess you guys like to know how things work at the atomic/molecular level). Two Lairds, a Gaskell, Byrne, Cramb & one whose face & speech are as clear as a bell in my mind (he was the haggis cook), but the name escapes me. I'll have to ask if any of them are into curling (I know they like a wee dram of the good stuff ).

I think it's a game best played when your three sheets to the wind, as long as your the chucker and not the bathroom cleaners.

Oh well, it's over now. Well done Korea. Any favourite bits anyone? Norway winning the team ski jumping, the ladies team relay in the Biathlon, and my new fave, slope style.

My fav - 16 yo Red Gerard winning the men's snowboard slope style and NBC not censoring his "What the f"... and "Holy Sh.." comments after his scores were posted. That and the fact that he overslept and he was 'pretty sure' his family was 'shotgunning beers' before his run.

Can understand the sentiment on drinking (whether playing or watching), but have no idea what the rest means.

For me, the last lap of women's Nordic 2-person sprint relay was the best. Diggins & Randal were killer.

Cricket reference? Not sure about bathroom cleaners reference.

Best Sir,

The person pushing the stone. The person's scrubbing the ice either side so it swerves n' ....so on. Gosh there's a sadness in the land, despite the light snowfall outside my window, now it's gone. For blighty won a record 5 medals! And not just in upside down tea trays with blades on them ( skeleton). We scored two medals wearing ski's! But with no financial remuneration on offer, let's hope they have a few pennies saved for college.
