The Ktema is an excellent speaker. I listened to at the recent AV show here in Hong Kong for quite a while and whilst it was not run in at all it still sparkled.

If you look closely you will see a piece of wood that extends down the back of the speaker. This piece has holes in it at various locations and it lies just an inch away from two woofers that fire backwards. I was wondering where the bass was coming from since the drivers at the front are pretty tiny.

Beautiful! Thanks for the photos. I like their size as well, not humongous like many top-of-the-line speakers.

Btw, what electronics are those?

Howie
Those pics look really good. I hope they show it at RMAF but somehow I doubt it.

Hard to say since different room, different everything and the Ktemas were just out of the box but they appear to be quicker and clearer than the Homage line but can't say for sure.

BTW, MSRP here is US$35k.

I'm actually surprised he goes with the speakers to the hifi shows at all. With the production beeing (supposedly) limited to 50 pairs, he could probably sell that many to Sonus Faber aficionados alone, based on the images and his reputation only.

Unless the speaker is just an introduction to sth bigger. Either way - I wish Franco all the best. He is such a charming person.
