I have yet to see a picture that can begin to capture the quality of the fit and finish. |

I'm just taken aback by the chrome top and bottom. Perhaps for the next iteration, SF can take some design cues from Franco Serblin's Accordo (e.g. have 2 pieces of wood sandwiching the metal exoskeleton). That'll make it less "cold." |

Accordo lit states "..Aluminum-Magnesium decoupling in order to obtain optimum resonance control.." The metal panel appears to be used as part of multiple layers of constrained mode damping. If that is the case, it can no more be on the outside to do it's designed job than the exo-skeleton panels on the Guarneri can be on the inside to do their job. The only way to change the Guarneri look and keep its mechanical properties intact would be a different finish on the avional itself. That's done in The Sonus faber. Will Sonus eventually do it in the Evolution? Who knows? |

We could have them name the speaker Guarneri Evolution TC. |

Or offer black chrome for a more subtle look.

The Sonus faber that Sumiko had at CES has black finish on the avional, but not black chrome.
Not so sure I would ever use black chrome and subtle in the same sentence. |

---> metaphacts I have to ask... You have very good knowledge about construction details of SF products. Do you profesionally connected with SF factory? Just curious.

Very much so. I have worked for Sonus faber's largest distributor, Sumiko, since 1999. FineSounds, the owners of Sonus faber, Wadia, and Audio Research purchased Sumiko in May 2011.
