Actually I have to agree with you about the Liutos. They are probably the only loudspeakers in the Sonus faber range which just don't do it for me. I found them to be too bulky and they are (in my opinion!) missing the typical and subtle elegance for which i love the sonus brand.

by the way: another thing I'm considering right now is to wait another year or two, play music happily with my system - then re-evaluate and go for a used pair of Guarneri mementos which are my absolute dream speakers until then I would've saved enough money to afford fitting gear without being afraid of weak amplifiers.

Here in Europe you could - if your lucky - get your hands on a pair 'just' for about 6k~ dollars. Well to buy or not to buy that's an audiophile's question

until then,
take care

The question that was posed, but doesn't need an answer anymore as I see now, I'm using the Auditor M's with a Primaluna Dialogue1. And it just works fine.

Hi Beetof,

How is the Primaluna Dialogue sounding with the Auditor M's? I'm thinking about going for the Yarland FV34 B tube amp also with EL 34 tubes push pull design with 50w.

Thanks for any tips experienced audiophiles!

Default Upgrade to Cremona Ms?

Hi all, this my first post on this forum.
I spent most of Monday last listening to the floorstanding Cremona Ms at a local dealers. I'd heard them on a previous listening and I went in yesterday thinking it was just a formality to confirm how good they sounded along with how beautiful they looked. I had lugged my Graaf GM50 integrated valve amp along just to confirm they would work with the relatively low (50W) output.
They certainly put out a lot of sound and particularly a LOT of low bass, too much in my smallish lounge I thought. The Cremona Auditors sounded more balanced to my ears and didn't lose out much in detail or separation. Having heard the Toys on a previous occasion both the Cremonas were a massive step up though
However in the end I went for a Sonus Faber speaker with a stronger mid and richer sound. The tiny but stupendous Elipsa Auditors. Just amazing on the end of my Graaf.
