Pre amp is ARC REf40

Power amps are Moon W7M and ARC Ref 75.

Will try Centaur Mono and D'agostino Momentum Mono soon.

But now i'm broke, so will keep current amps for awhile.

V3 here are loan. Q3 gone, Q7 not coming yet.
V3 make me miss Q Series sound very much.

Hi,

the Q7 for me (IMHO) are very very tooo tooo big. make no sense...

a Q5 is a great speakers but (effective misured have 80dB!!!) need a lot of power.

Q3 is the perfect way. easy to drive, can you place in your "room", not $$$ killer...

BUT

the S5 is the magic from Magico!!!! anyway.

Raidho, if you've visited Toga's room as I have, you will know that the q7 makes perfect sense.

Dafos, glad to hear from you. I was about to PM you about last update.

Q3 was perfect. But I was almost crush six little woofers many times during loud movies playing.
I thought about a pair of JL F212 and cut off LF sent to Q3. But cost of two JL and 14 meters
Of premium XLRs and a pair of expensive AC Cords is considerable. so I chose crazier way
That will benefit both music and movies. That is the bigger Q.

Now I just hope Q7 will not make too much bass or boom bass. also Q7 don't come with spikes,
So I cannot tune the bass with some tuning spike discs like Harmonix anymore. Not quite sure
How well Q7 feet couple to my carpeted concrete floor.

Toga.

I think the bass in your room will be perfect. Q series speakers never boom, and your room is quite large. Don't think you should try those poor little harmonix cups, they might be crushed by 700 lb weight of q7. I think sheer weight of q7 will couple naturally even on carpeted floor.

@Dafos
yes, with a room like in the picture ok, I agre...

i dont have so a listiningroom!!! Sorry

I have listen the Q3 , Q5 and the S series (1 & 5) for me the top is the S5.
they play with a sound with a seduction and involvement that the Q5 do not give ...(expec. Q5 vs. S5)
the Q3 is the good alternative at the S5.
