Dan, I'm still wondering how I talked myself into signing a check for 3 D'Agostino amps!

At least they turned out to be the best amps I have ever owned. Pricey suckers though!

That's relatively expensive for a DAC chip itself.

FYI, the power supply and analog section are just as important as the chip itself.

I think the Sabre dac chips are a bit more at around $47 each now maybe more with a min order of five pieces from these people Welcome To Shaw Electronics LLC they are the distributor for Sabre dac chips in the US. They do not list prices on thier site you have to call.....The Sabre dac chips seem to be really popular with the one's building thier own kits.

My MCD500 DAC still sounds great to me even though it is "outdated"
