Ah, a break through! You get to hear the silk dome in your own room and you can compare it to the titanium dome in your w/p8's (similarly, the MAXX 3 has the inverted titanium dome tweeters). Maybe a preference will shine through.

Maxx3. It images better which is inherent with driver configurations/ speaker design. Minor tones can be adjusted with a few tweaks of the cables.

I would take maxx3s over the alexias any day!

Forget the Sasha's, they pale in comparison to the Alexia's. So that's out.
If you can deal with the fact that the MAXX3's will be upgraded soon (so you won't have a current model,) and the price is at least 40% off retail, and the cosmetics will be OK, than go this way.
If you want a really great speaker, the latest Wilson design, and can pick your color as well as a much better form factor in a living room Alexi all the way...

Of course I won't say no to a nice deal on used Alexias. But money is too hard to earn for me to buy them new at their list price here in France.

With our level of taxes ( Social taxes + national + local taxes ) in France, you have to earn about 140k euros to get a net in your pocket of around 45 / 50k !

It's my hope, and for the rest it has to be far better than WP8 to make the decision easy.
