As you probably know, I like the electronics to be placed with a hard connection to a heavy stone. That ston is damped to the shelf/floor/ground. This makes the sound to be more focused, faster transients and more black backgrund, even more detailed sound. It works well on any unit in my hifi-system. This is my personal opinion.

Thera are some practical limitations due to space but the more heavy they are the better it sounds.

I usually use Diabas or Nero Assoluto as they are high density stones and rigid. I prefer Diabas because the density is a tiny bit higher.

Now I needed one more for Krell 400cx. Pink Sylomer damping at the bottom.

I also bought a thiner but wider one to use under my preamp Krell KCT. That Diabas stone has to be thin due to ventilation limitations on that shelf.

This is it!

Very nice! My friend also prefers stone for his Krell system which he has had for over 20 years without upgrades. Krell and stone, they build on each other's perceived strengths.
The ROCK of Gibraltar.
I like to have fun with this, it is nothing personal.
It is all good fun. I am sure the system sounds fantastic. Enjoy!

Carl, I still remember how the blue lights sequence when the amps come on. Looks like you are set.

Best

Now I'v been playing music without QB8, Valhalla 2 power cable, Qv2 Qk1 and no QKore for almost 2 weeks.
This was a good test. Now I'v got my new QB8 High Current 16A and also using the old QB8 10A to front end it's no doubt that it sounds better with these things conectet then it is without in my system.

These Nordost products does not restrain any dynamics or anything else. On the contrary.

New Valhalla 2 with 16A connection.

Still working on the ground.
Since my QKore6 just hosts 2 inputs for power amps I thought it would be best to use the two Krell 350Mc to these ground inputs. Krell 400cx is right now without proper ground.

I just got 2 pair of Nordost ground cables with XLR so that I can connect Krell 350Mc to QKore6.

I can't tell you how good these products really are. It's no idea to go into details about what they do with the sound. It's not like they makes more bas ore tweaks the sound in any direction. They just makes the musik sound so much better. It's like when you suddenly figure out how to solve a problem. It's just clear and right. It's more true music sensation. The music gets more beautiful. It's like when Neo sees the code in the Matrix.

Now my QKore6 i loaded with ground cables and its not possible to fit in one more. I'v learned that then it's better to use more QKore units. It's sounds reasonable and wise.
So I'm thinking of using ny QKore6 just for front end and a QKore3 to my amps.
That configuration is probably optimal for my system. And the QKore effect will be even better.

So I will probable get my hands on a QKore3 in the near future.

Carl, you have a fabulous system. I enjoy greatly all the tweaks that improve your sound. Two improvements I could make would be to replace my hospital grade wall sockets with AQ Edison's. Also, replacing my AQ Wind IC with a WEL IC in my subwoofer system. But I'm in no hurry. Happy Thanksgiving.

Best

Charles
