Derek,

Do you have any way to just run a long Ethernet cable temporarily from your closest switch/router?

I ran cat6 years ago to all positions in the house I needed and put up 1GbE switches in places like behind the rack that needed multiple Ethernet connections.

I also run a wireless network but I'm a big believer that wireless is for mobile devices and opt for hardwire for static applications. Then of course, fishing cat6 isn't too difficult at my house given stud/Sheetrock construction.

Well I'm going to build out a dedicated room, when I do i'm going to wire tubbing to each of the outlet blocks so I can add/remove in-wall cabling as technology changes. In the mean time, it will be USB.

(we only have 1 ethernet/network access point, I've extended it with a range extender but it only gets so good. My house doesn't like wireless)

Just got the email from OPPO saying the BDP-105 is now available for order. As a charter member early adopter, of course I immediately ordered it.
