Default ML Panels

Was thinking about replacing my panels this year. So I called ML and found out that most of the replacement panels have jumped up significantly - almost DOUBLED!!!!

Maybe time to find a new speaker.....

I sold a pair of SL3's for that exact reason a couple of years ago, and the replacement screens were only $760 a pair!
Regards,
Jim

I am starting to look at used ML - the SL3, coincidentally - and sent an email to ML about replacements. They quoted $1302 for a pair plus shipping.

On a positive side, the new panels have the new x stat technology, which translates to better sound. so it is not only a replacement, but also an upgrade.

I have been thinking of getting the Bass mid Panels on my Tri-amped Magnapan MGIIIa's redone and even with new mylar and voice coils it is just a bit under half of that.($331 per panel)
Regards,
Jim

I just talked to Melodie at ML a week ago and she told me that SL3 panels were $650 plus shipping. To me that was $690 total. You might want to check again.

The cost of new screens is a pittance compared to the cost of the speaker of such quality. With such great speakers, it would be foolish NOT to get new screens.

Pittance??? Maybe for your wallet. Some of us are struggling in today's world.
