The Yamaha ns 5000's are now on the market here!

https://usa.yamaha.com/products/cont...000/index.html

Magico, B&W, and others needs to worry about these ns 5000's now!

What is the MRSP? Did a bit of surfing and found $15,000. Moving into a crowded price range for speakers.
Used NS-1000M & NS-1000 for many a year. Terrific speakers. Hope the NS-5000 are as good (competitive) for today as the NS-1000 were 30yr ago.

If these Yamaha ns 5000's do sound better than Magico M series like some of the reviewers said they did at the Shows, then they will be one hell of a Bargain!

Called a lot of Yamaha Dealers and they all sell them special order only!

They won't dare put them in their stores so you can compare them to Magico, B&W and others!

Well............ most folks consider Yamaha mid-fi (at least I do these days). To bring in a $15K set of speakers, which may well be worth their price, could be stretch for the dealer. May end up owning them a long time. Think someone of note will have to give a good review to have that change.

That´s why Accuphase has the system with the dealer-events - so the dealers have the chance to show the top-series and to give the chance to the customers and fans to hear that "hot stuff" throughout the country with there own (h)ears
