Bricasti Vs Gryphon Kalliope is more valid but made difficult because they're poles apart tonally. The Kalliope being relaxed, sweet and seductive, and the M1 being more immediate, lively, and clinically accurate by comparison.
The choice between them is to a large extent a matter of personal taste - as well as overall system balance.

Bricasti Vs Rossini without its precision clock is also interesting but the dCS is still slightly less digital sounding and slightly more expressive and nuanced, though soundstage is not significantly better IMO.
Thank you for the comparison. Interesting. I might be giving the Rossini a test drive soon .... the dealer has the clock as well. Nervous to try that .... getting into Vivaldi money

Hi Howie
I see you have the Audio Note Angaku. Did you try the Audio Note DAC 5 and if so, what did you think about it. It is a bit old now but wondering if it is still near the top of DACs.
