Very interesting. How long has the 28 been out? just curious, lol. I'm sure I could find a used ref5se, but I can't afford a used 6, that's for sure.

As an owner of a Ref5SE - I'd say hold out for the Ref 6 when they become obsolete - the 6 is a noticeable step up from the 5SE.

Been told that by all. I have heard both, but not side by side. I will only need a pre if I get the new Vandersteen Mono's as I think I posted already. I only use one digital input and don't even need the rest of them, lol. I'm now a minimalist, lol.
