Default Still-One, you are right...

TAB did not come out and say the Wilson/VTL room was THE best in show, they said it was a contender. It is the first room listed under the category of "Best in Show" but there are other rooms listed too. So you are correct.

I guess in my exuberance to start an interesting new post on this forum, I overstated the facts. Oh well, it has led to a good thread anyway!

By the way, it was the VTL MB450 + Sasha combination that my wife and I first heard together when she turned to me and said, "You must buy these speakers." (yeah, I'm a lucky guy!) My search for electronics came down to VTL and Lamm. Ultimately I choose the later, but know I could have been just as happy with the VTL gear.

But man, that Transparent cabling is hideously expensive and way out of my league!

Those Lamm M1.2s sure do look familiar...

Deb..thanks. I had read the blog post on the first day it came out and was very surprised by Stereophile's impressions especially given the caliber of the gear in the room and had not seen the postscript. Looks like all is well that ends well. Kudos to Wilson and VTL and Basis for putting on a great demo.
