chessman (Randy) has already stated that my expectation was correct, your pics are indeed better than the stock manufacturer photos. Was there ever any doubt?

Just an update regarding accuracy on the Sinn 104:

WatchBuys very thoughtfully set the time for Pacific Daylight time when they sent it out, and perfectly synchronized it.

The 104 uses a premium – chronometer quality calibre SW220-1, a Sellita ebauche that very reliable and durable movement, that apparently, while not exotic in any way (like the Omega 9300 Co-axial, etc) is well known for it's accuracy.

While the movement is not officially COSC-certified as a chronometer, it sure as hell is accurate: watch was set on Thursday morning, and it's now Sunday morning, and it's off by a fraction of a second after 3 days. That's well withing the COSC accuracy specification of: over the first 10 Days the average daily rate must be within -4/+6 seconds. I'll track it with the WatchApp on my iPhone and we'll get some data.

A funny thing happened on the way to listen to some gear last night - someone opened a perfectly clear heavy glass door and goddamn near knocked me out. My arm and hand were hit, but no scratches on the crystal or bezel of my Rolex. When I looked more carefully later, I noticed the link that connects to the oyster is all bent. I have to take it to Rolex, and hope like hell I don't have to buy another band. In the meantime, I stopped in a wonderful pre-owned and collector's store I have frequented for years and bought this - I absolutely love it, and its my first Sinn.

Oh, man, that is gorgeous! Congratulations!

What model Sinn is that, Bob? It kinda looks like a 103 Reverse Panda. Does it have an acrylic crystal?

That is a 103a sa. I have the very same watch. If you look at the day, you'll see it is in German. The panda(as I call it)uses an extremely accurate Valjoux movement. The winding rotor has a tendency to wobble when it is winding. When wearing the watch you can actually feel the wobble. There is nothing wrong with it, it's just the nature of the movement.

BTW, it has a sapphire crystal(ar coated)hence the sa designation.

Bob
Congratulations on a fine watch. I'm sure you'll like it as much as I like mine

These Sinns are very strong too. If Robert was unfortunate enough to collide with a glass door again, I think the door would come off second best to the Sinn!
