Thank you all for your thoughts and suggestions. I'm going to give the IKEA light a try, it should be perfect. Unfortunately, it doesn't come in black, so I'll have paint it to match my rack and components. Tina's use of the small flashlight for stylus inspection is a terrific one. I have several around the house and will now permanently place one by the turntable.
Again, thank you for your timely and excellent suggestions.

You could get some larger diameter heat shrink, slice it from one end to the other and slip it around the gooseneck & apply a little heat for it to shrink. Probably better than paint which will most likely flake as time progresses.

A visit to an arts & crafts store could help determine how to tackle the clamp and lamp head.

Just sayin'

Best Sir,

Bib

One thing to check on the IKEA is the location of its switch. I'm gonna guess it's on the cord, so convenience of its access is a consideration. Let us know how it works for you.

Hello,

I just ordered a Little Lite for my record cleaning machine.

Have Tried Ikea for my turntable.
It did not put out much light.

My favorite TT lamp is the Illuminati from the UK.

It works great!

Careful with that magnet around your cartridge.

This is an amazing TT light; I have it on one of mine.

You can remove one gooseneck light if preferred.
