Would you have preferred the MC240 for the 60th ?
Do you think McIntosh should have issued the MC240 instead of the MC75 x 2 for the 60th ?

Stereopal.......Good to see you here.
 Although I will not be an owner of the McIntosh 60th Anniversary System, I voted for the two 75 watt amps. My feeling is that with todays loudspeakers, and less than ideal efficiency ratings, a 75 watt amp on each channel is the minimum power necessary for a comfortable dynamic range capability.

For me, a pair of MC75 would sound better than a MC240. I have a set of the original MC225, 240 and 275. The MC240 does not do well for me no matter how much tube rolling I do. Somehow the 6L6GC is not as musical when compare to the rest and I have roll in GE and Westinghouse and the newer stuff from EH. All the front-end tubes are teles already.
