Specs. don't look too bad.

2, 8 1/4" woofers. 1, 6 1/2" mid-range. Consequentially slightly improved low frequency extension: 26Hz against 28Hz(at -6dB). Improved (claimed)sensitivity: 91.5dB against 91dB - Although the Sopra No. 2's sensitivity was measured closer to 88.5dB. So i'd personally take Focal's sensitivity figures with the proverbial pinch of salt.

After being bowled over by the Sopra No. 2's at a show(i know, right?) i can barely wait to hear the No. 3's.

Regards.

Bobby.

Hi guys,

I was mightily impressed by the Sopra No. 2's after brief hearing at an audio event, i've all but resolved to put down a deposit & order the Sopra No. 3's. Provided the cost of a custom finish isn't too excessive.

Anyone else going to the K J West One demonstration of the Naim Statement with the UK debut of the Sopra No. 3's?

Expect it to be interesting.

Regards.

Bobby.

Sure. As long as you're prepared to accept my amateurish musings & images of me drooling profusely.

Well yesterday, i went to Copenhagen at a really nice sunny day with temperatures reaching 25 celcius, but i wanted to get to listen to Sopra No.3 that was presented with the Naim Statement system.
I can only say i was really impressed with bass management , female voices not getting sharp or edgy at the top, also imaging was really good.
So interesting to hear Bobby´s thoughts and how he did perceive them.
I also went down to a local shop in Copenhagen to hear the Sopra No.2 as i think for my small room they will fit better, they played them on a smaller Naim system not sure which and they also performed similar to the bigger brother. But of course one could easily hear that the big Statement system has some good grip.

Nice, did you get a retail price for the number 3's in DKK?

Im considering parting with my no.2's in black, so if your set on those let me know and we might work something out.

No, i didn't get a retail price there, but from the invitation as i link to here http://nerds.dk/news/?nid=3100
They should retail for 145.000 Kr, i would like the Sopra No.2 but unfortunately i dont have that amount of money right now, after buying amplifier ( Accuphase E-470 ) last August and a couple months ago a Lumin T1.
And i can for sure understand that you would love to go for No.3 , my apartment are just too small for them i think.
I also talked to Mark Ragged about my room size and the No.2 which he think would be fine.
