Yes, I have considered this, but will remedy it by placing large 24 inch round ASC tube traps in the corners.

I think the room stiffens will still be an issue - have you consulted with a professional acoustician?

Default Docmd2010's 2 channel room construction

It’s a dedicated destination, a very fortified one. Any in wall cable runs set up to change things out down the road, thinking PVC conduits in the ceiling or walls more for theater. Have you considered plumbing and separate electrical for a mini bar?

Aditya, comgratulations on what will be a great roo.! I will add my +1 on the 2nd door recommendation and the stiffness of the room/bass nodes. ASC and other traps are fine but you essentially have an audio cocoon planned that may get overdamped just to treat it. Have you considered slanted walls and ceilings, more narrow at system end and opening up towards listening area,...won't remove problem but may help...

To help me understand, @trponhunyer @SCAudiophile is the high room stiffness/audio cocoon because of the efforts taken to soundPROOF the room ... ie triple Sheetrock/green glue plus fiberglass insulation. If so, how can one achieve sound “isolation” so as to not disturb others and not have bass containment issues or are the two mutually exclusive?

I use Quiet Batt throughout my entire Rooms ie: walls & ceilings.

Alzak 'clear' cans. An 'exterior' circuit of cans just off the walls (and/or wall/art washers) and an interior circuit. Lutron dimmers at the entry door and back corners with pico remotes for chairside control of both circuits. Determine where listening chair will be and include at least one in-floor duplex next to or beneath it.

If you are serious about vinyl you may want an area dedicated to record cleaning with perhaps some below cabinet storage and ideally a small bar sink.
