I second or third that something (kitchen, bedroom fans, LED lighting) is now on the same leg as your hi-fi plug.

Something here just does not sound right. To go from a typical 121VAC to 116-118VAC is a big drop.

I would start monitoring voltage of both phases of your service, which is actually a good periodic general practice. This is ideally checked at the panel itself. In many areas - certainly in mine - electric distribution circuits are fluid, and distribution is changed to balance loads back at the substation level of the grid. Quality can vary over time. So it is possible that your utility coincidentally made changes itself that may explain your voltage drop. Maybe.

Depending on the results of testing the voltage of both phases over time, I'd also consider calling back the electrician so that he can check his work, such as making sure all connections are tight. Even the best electrician can make an error. (It's the same in any field.)

Was the meter removed from the meter pan during the service change, which would be common practice? If so, I'd ask the utility to ascertain that it was properly seated. I've been told by a friend who's an electrician that he's seen this problem.

Although your voltage now is on the low side, it's probably considered within spec by your utility and state regulators.

Please keep us posted.

I have these on every one of my electrical panels. It provides a tremendous amount of data.

Yes, the meter was completely removed by the utility company...No sane electrician would work on an active 200 Amp service that can be de-energeized easily. Will have them come back out and reset it...

Yes, it probably is considered in spec. unfortunately!

Thanks everyone for the suggestions and possible remedies....

To follow up, the problem is solved....I checked all the breakers to make sure they were all seated properly, checked the outlet and cable connectivity...

The solution: Pressing on the meter base on the outside of the house...

My voltage is now back to at the PPP input reading 120 VAC +/- 1 VAC with a THD of 1.3%

Output of course, using the PS Audio Power Plant Premier is rock solid 120 VAC and 0.3% THD....

Such a simple solution...

Thanks again all for the advise and input!
